PRIMAVERA Grows 15% in 2013

Turnover increased 15% to nearly 18 million euros, EBITDA came in at 3.9 million euros, representing 22.3% of the turnover achieved, and the International Market grew 9%.

PRIMAVERA BSS has just announced that in 2013 it achieved a consolidated turnover of 17.8 million euros, which corresponds to a 15% growth in relation to 2012. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) registered a growth of 59% in relation to the previous year, reaching 3.9 million euros in 2013, which represents 22.3% of the turnover achieved.

The international activity of the Portuguese technology company contributed with 7.2 million euros to the total turnover achieved in 2013, which corresponds to 41% of the total. PRIMAVERA is present in Spain, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and São Tomé e Príncipe, with these markets having registered a growth of 9% in relation to 2012.

PRIMAVERA’s performance in 2013 was characterized by a strong growth in the sales of new licenses, but also in consulting and training services.

"The growth registered in all geographies was crucial for the results achieved in 2013”, declared the Co-CEO of PRIMAVERA BSS, José Dionísio. "In particular, I would highlight the 17% growth registered in the Portuguese market which, as we know, is currently experiencing a period of economic contraction. The growth achieved by PRIMAVERA is proof of our and our partners’ commitment to keep surprising our clients with differentiating and competitive solutions, with a growing focus on solutions for the Cloud”.

The strong investment that PRIMAVERA has demonstrated at the level of mid-sized and large companies was also one of the growth factors, with the awarding of large-scale projects in the various markets where the company does business - Grupo Pinto & Cruz (Portugal), BioCom and GIASOP (Angola), and Servitrade (Mozambique).

Vectors for Growth for 2014

The year of 2014 will be marked by the launch of version 9 of PRIMAVERA products, the result of a strong investment in Investigation and Development (I&D) and which will be made available to the 25,000 companies which have continuity contracts.

In this regard, the Co-CEO of PRIMAVERA BSS considers that "version 9 will provide a million potential PRIMAVERA software users or recipients with a new usage experience in relation to the management software. The novel features of this latest version concern Cloud technology and will allow our clients to be an integral part of an ecosystem without borders, thereby empowering their businesses and sharing information within this vast community - among other advantages”.

Investment in the segment of mid-sized and large companies represents another of the vectors for growth, namely through the recent reinforcement of the available products for this segment, with the release of Business Analytics.

On an international level, by 2015 PRIMAVERA hopes to increase the international market’s contribution so that it represents more than half of the total turnover, and is currently planning an imminent entry into new markets.

2014 will also be highlighted by the change of premises to the new company head office, also located in the city of Braga. With this investment, PRIMAVERA aims to bring together the various companies of the Group under one roof, thereby streamlining company operations.
